I mean, "taking a known risk" sounds like typical shyster language for not taking responsibility for one's actions.
'Glad no one was shot! That was not your inadequacy, but the fact my wife is telling me no far too often for my liking.

So, I thought I'd joke about it, but now that I read my comment it makes no sense at all. Again, not you but me. The further I went in describing what happened, the more I found myself focused on the underlying attitudes of those involved.

It would have been better presented as two posts; one a humorous look at the situation, and one deploring today's almost total absence of any personal responsibility.

Good point about the number of lawyers!

JohnDuke_of_Earlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08358279187766938462noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10628759.post-1120714040185208072005-07-07T00:27:00.000-05:002005-07-07T00:27:00.000-05:00The first time I read this, I only got foursome, t...The first time I read this, I only got foursome, two holes, finishing strong, exchange identities, handgun and morals out of it.

Wondering what the heck you were talking about, I had to read it a bit more carefully.

No one takes personal responsibility for their actions anymore. If they did, we wouldn't have near as many attorneys. When's the last time you heard someone sincerely say "I'm sorry, I really screwed up." I find it's usually, "I'm sorry, it's just that . . ." and then the excuses come out as to why it's not really his/her fault.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10628759.post-1120706312959599172005-07-06T22:18:00.000-05:002005-07-06T22:18:00.000-05:00Of course, you are not nuts. The golfer should definitely pay for the window.kenjuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07342414519714356343noreply@blogger.com
