Most people who run for office are either already lusting for power and prestige, or they seem to quickly catch the bug. Then their incumbency is spent grasping for more power and prestige, losing sight (if they ever had it) of the people who put them there in the first place. Sure, there are some "good ones." But I'd submit that there are a lot more good ones out there who would campaign on PRINCIPLES, and then stand by them for their limit of one or (at most) two terms. But then I'm naive and idealistic. What do I know?Duke_of_Earlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08358279187766938462noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10628759.post-31729827365601279642009-08-19T09:15:38.226-05:002009-08-19T09:15:38.226-05:00I don't discuss politics or religion either fo...I don't discuss politics or religion either for the same reasons you state. I do think term limitaions is an excellent idea, but I'm just waiting for a new law that allows the president to stay in office indefinetly. There's a reason presidential terms are limited.Nankinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12647671062552564263noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10628759.post-14660536483277781222009-08-16T09:45:43.936-05:002009-08-16T09:45:43.936-05:00Frankly all, I agree most with Christina!Frankly all, I agree most with Christina!Duke_of_Earlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08358279187766938462noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10628759.post-73590251169267494702009-08-14T22:41:04.119-05:002009-08-14T22:41:04.119-05:00Careful, John.
