Carol took our digital camera to the golf course today in hopes of finding something photo-worthy.
I think these qualify:
We think this might have been a baby or adolescent bird, from the touch of yellow at the corner of its bill that you can only see if you zoom way in.
Like this:
But we could be wrong.

What lovely photos! Tell Carol I said Happy Mother's Day.
It really is a very pretty bird.
Nice pictures. Hope you let her win and are taking her to diner for Mother's Day.
Steve,
Obviously you haven't been reading this blog too long. Carol always wins. There isn't any
"letting her" win. She's just a better golfer than I am.
And no, I will not be taking her out to eat today. Better! I'll order take-out food tonight (so she won't have to cook), but I'll take her back to the golf course where she'll win again!

John, come over and read my latest post - it's all for you!
John, I trust Carol had a nice Mother's Day.
Thanking you again for permission to use your "words" post over at Verbicidal Tendencies - it was posted Monday 5/14 - you can check it out
RIGHT HERE!
Those are great photos. Carol must have a really good telephoto lens.
Ooops! I'm sorry, John, I didn't remember that you already knew about that word....LOL
I hope I haven't unleashed a whole new set of problems, but just to be sure, I put another post on top of that one. Maybe "C" won't see it now.
Pretty birds! And you sound like an excellent husband. Hope Carol won again.
Serena Joy,
Yes, she did. It was close, but...
(And of COURSE I'm an excellent husband! I'm married to the most wonderful woman on the planet, and I don't want to do anything to jeopardize that!
John
Great photographs. I think I need to borrow my friends fancy camera with telephoto lens so I can capture the little Wagtails who come for their cheese every day.
