Ahhhh! Back to the 90s.

Well, yeah! Yesterday's high was 91. Set a new record for Victoria, Texas, on March 14.

Today it made it up to 90. All the trees are now in leaf. I mowed the grass weeds on Thursday. Our blackberry bushes along the back fence are beginning to bloom.

Global warming? Just a local phenomenon?

Since tomorrow's high is "only" supposed to be up to 76, it's probably just local. Gee, wasn't it just last week that Dallas got 9 inches of snow?

Anyway, for those of you still shivering in snow, take heart! Spring is on its way. I'll try to send some of this warmer weather your way soon.

But not too much of it. I'd like to save a little in case another "Norther" tries to blow down this far towards the equator.

It could happen! Next weekend is Easter, and on Easter weekend last year we took our camper to Kerrville and shivered in sleet and freezing rain for two days. Not exactly your ideal golf weather.

(Yeah, we're going to try again this year. I'll let you know if it happens again.)

It's been in the 70's here for the past week. But even as we speak storm clouds are gathering over the Pacific to swoop down and set us back two months and break our hearts.

Global warming. What a hoax.

It has been in the high 70's here for 3-4 days, and today saw he turn back to cooler weather - it was 65. That is still beautiful for march 15th, no?

GW is NOT a hoax to me.

Ladies,

I may be right in the middle of you both on this issue (GW). I think the evidence is clear that global average temperatures are slowly increasing at present.

HOWEVER (and this is a big "however"), I'm not at all convinced (Al Gore notwithstanding) that mankind has anything to do with the trend, OR that the trend is anything more than part of a natural cycle that occurs with a period longer than recorded history. To claim that the last 20 years (or the last 200 for that matter) are proof of anything seems myopic, to say the least.

So, this post is just about my current weather conditions. Nothing more.

There. Now I've likely offended 3 of my 4 regular readers!

I'm not offended... I agree with you. Not that I would be offended if your opinion were different from mine!

John, I think this GW is real, but as you said, part of a normal cycle. It's just the first timehumans have been inconvienced by it.

Someday, there'll be another ice age. too.

wow! i'm impressed! you have 4 readers now? you go!

just kidding. i'm with you, i think GW is happening, but i don't think we caused it in the last hundred years or so. of course, since al gore invented the internet, it is kind of hard to doubt anything he says...

Christina,

Great point! After all, everything on the internet is true, right?

Great news about the van...and wtg, Carol for saving the day! Speaking of weather, I was driving home in a blizzard (Dallas) only 2 weeks ago...this weekend we (me, my husband and the dog) enjoyed soaking in the hot tub. You gotta love Texas weather!

We finally broke the 40 degree barrier here in parts of New England for Easter. All week it'll be in the 40s during the day and in the 20s at night.

Even though the calendar suggests Spring, we've yet to see any buds on the trees.

It's good to see a comment from Christina. Her blog has been inactive since December. I was concerned something might be wrong. If it was posted, I missed it.

Anyway, a late in the day wish for a Happy Easter for you and Carol.
