Birds? Captions?

Since I am apparently somewhat renowned for writing captions to photos of birds, and since I am, sadly, lacking any new bird photographs because Carol FORGOT to take the camera to the golf course today—a fact that she now blames ME for (I mean, isn't THAT amazing, that she would blame ME for failing to remind HER to take the camera?), in spite of the fact that for the roughly thirty minutes we spent getting ready to play golf, including: preparing our lunch and our ice water, changing clothes, and getting all the gear in the car—when during that entire time she was relating to me a story—and I didn't DARE to interrupt her, break her train of thought as an interruption would certainly have done—in spite of ALL THAT she still thinks I was responsible for the lack of bird pictures. (DEEP breath!)

Because of all of the above, I have chosen to shamelessly plagiarize the snippet below from the Pointmeister's blog.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This Is AMAZING!!!
Until now I never fully understood how to tell the difference between male and female birds.
I always thought it had to be determined surgically.
Until now.
Which of the two birds is a female? Below are two birds; study them closely... See if you can spot which of the two is the female. It can be done. Even by one with limited bird watching skills.
(If I wasn't already in trouble with Carol for forgetting to remind her, I am NOW!)
I love the expression on the male bird's face.
Exactly! He looks either:
1) Pained,
2) Bored, or
3) (at best) Totally disinterested and tuning her out!
Can I relate? Let me think about that (and the consequences of my answer) for a while...
Both you and the bird are just like mr. kenju!
Kenju,
How is that? Because we're both in trouble with our wives?
No pictures and it's all John's fault!!!!
John, that picture - the look on the male bird's face not withstanding - is priceless.
There's nothing shameless about borrowing" from other blogs. You don't thimk others don't do the same?
It's funny to look at the picture and not laugh - trouble with the significant or not.
Thanks for the plug. (Besides, it does serve as a bird picture.)
I'm so sorry that YOU forgot to remind Carol to take her camera. SHE always takes such good photos for YOU to post on YOUR blog. I bet SHE missed some good photo ops today. Darnit anyway.
But I LOVE your little story about the seagulls. You are a funny person!
Oh how could you not remind Carol to take HER camera to golf!
I still don't know which seagull is the female.
Only kidding. *grin*
Michelle,
Good for you! I've been waiting for one of my female readers to demand, "So, which bird IS the female?"
A talking bird is worth a thousand pictures. Of course it was your fault. I've been married long enough to know who gets the finger pointed at him. Grin.
Steve,
And how long did that take? After you were married, I mean. About, oh... ten minutes?
(Ha! Now I'm REALLY going to be in trouble!)
