Early trip pictures

Finally, a few pictures from our visit to Chicago. These are only some shots of the surprise birthday party we threw for Carol, and a couple of views from Amy's downtown highrise apartment.

More to come, when time permits. VERY busy at work after a long absence.

Beautiful pictures. I especially liked the last one. How I would love to hop into a boat and sail along that water. I hope you had a wonderful time.

Hugs to you and yours!

Welcome home - glad you had such a great time. Now it is back to work to rest. *grin*

Loved the pics and what a view Amy has. Love it!

I know that pier thing I was thinking hey I haven't been to chicago so how do I recognise it, then I remembered I used to drive round it on midtown madness.

Gorgeous views from the apartment. Is that Navy Pier?

I see that you have very pretty women in your family, John!

Kenju,

Why, thank you! I agree, of course. I married a raving beauty and our daughters got their looks from their mom.

What a great birthday party!

And seeing those pictures...my parents are just a few blocks north of there (and a bit east, perhaps, but as the crow flies, actually due north).

That's just too much of a small-world thing for me. I think next time you come to Chicago, we're just going to have to meet up.
