More cedar chest photos

This is an undated photo of my grandmother and her two oldest boys, my father and his brother. Since my father was born in 1914 and looks about three in this picture (don't you think?), it was probably taken in 1916-1918, give or take.

Love the sailor suits and the facial expressions!

This is a fascinating picture of my mother that seems to be printed on glass or ceramic.

This is how it looks displayed in an oval frame.

Then finally, here's a shot of me as a teenager. Check out that 1960s narrow tie! Looks like what used to be referred to as a "clean cut young man."

Kirsten,

I'm not sure. Many of the old photos in my mom's cedar chest were/are undated. Take a note to self: ALWAYS jot the date on the back of a print. And make the date taken part of the file info (if not the name) on all digital photo files. My best guess is that she's a teenager, but it's hard to tell.

Candace, Still struggling with that tendency towards redundance? (Kidding! Only kidding!)

cool old pics! I too love the facial expressions of the boys in the first pic.

I always thought I looked a lot like my other grandmother, but i can see some of my features there in your mom also - pretty cool. i don't think i've ever seen any younger pics of her - st least none that I remember.

Great pics. I probably have a skinny tie pic like yours around somewhere too...hmmm, maybe I should try and dig one out.
